7.62 is the ammunition used in the "Avtomat Kalashnikova", or AK-47, developed originally in the former USSR. This gun has a bad reputation because of its "one shot, one kill" precision. It is used in a worldwide scale, from countries such as Mozambique (which features the aforementioned gun in its national flag) to Brazil and Colombia (where it is used mostly by drug dealers). The AK-47 was made to destroy everything in its path, and 7.62 is the caliber responsible for this devastation. It hits its target initially with a small hole, surgical, and comes out exploding like a cannon ball.
